Welcome to Our Vision: The Wayne Local Schools Facility 5-Year Plan

Wayne Local has unveiled a comprehensive Facility 5-Year Plan – a roadmap to transforming and elevating the school district. This plan, illustrated in the attached graphic, outlines the goals to enhance the campus.

From modernizing classrooms to upgrading athletic facilities, each step is designed with our students' future in mind. It's not just about buildings and equipment; it's about creating an environment where excellence in education thrives.

Join us on this journey; your support is crucial. A YES vote on Issue 8 is more than just approval; it's an investment in our children's future. This plan is a testament to our dedication to providing top-notch educational facilities, all while maintaining fiscal responsibility and without increasing taxes.

Let's come together to make this vision a reality. Explore the plan, understand the impact, and join us in creating a lasting difference in our community.

It's important for us to understand that the school’s plan for proposed projects, replacements, and updates is necessary for our community, regardless of whether the levy passes or not. Passing the levy will protect the general fund from covering these expenses, safeguarding the district's operating budget. For instance, with a Permanent Improvement (PI) fund, we can take care of critical replacements, such as the high school chiller, without affecting the general fund.

It's worth noting that the plan doesn't include the sports complex since it requires levy funding to be realized.
